'Jacobus Eyndius (van den Eynde), Delft 1575 - Haamstede 1614, was captain in the army of Maurits and he probably left the military service at the beginning of the Truce in 1609 to devote himself to literature on the castle of Haamstede. He published a book with Latin poems. His historical works were published by the government of Zeeland after his death. The Nieuwe cronyk van Zeeland 1696 by M.
